Track Licence Requirements
No outside licensing required (eg. Motorsport Australia/AASA) to attend the day.
However for sign in you MUST present Valid, Government Issued Photo ID such as an Australian Drivers Licence, Australian Photo ID Card OR Passport if you are an overseas resident. No other ID will be accepted.
For insurance purposes you are required to register with Luddenham Raceway at no extra cost.
- BRING ID - Everyone over 18 will need to show their ID to reception to check in, we will need to see a VALID Australian Drivers Licence; OR VALID Australian Photo ID Card; OR If you only have overseas ID, a VALID PASSPORT.
- REGISTER - If you haven’t been to Luddenham Raceway before you will need to register yourself to participate:
- Over 18? - Click this link to register
- On the day - show your ID to check in.
- Under 18? - ONLY YOUR PARENT CAN SIGN YOU IN
- Parent - Click this link to register
- Parent enters their details, once they get to the end, Parent will be able to select ‘add minor’ and will then enter the details of their Child.
- On the day - Parent and Child will go to Check in and Parent will show their ID.
- If parent is NOT coming - Parent will need to email a copy of their ID (Valid Australian Drivers Licence OR Valid Australian Photo ID Card OR Valid Passport if Overseas ID) to info@luddenhamraceway.com OR Child can show copy of Parent’s ID at check in.
- If you are bringing Spectators/Passengers/Second Drivers, make sure you forward them the registration link as they need to register too!
Vehicle Requirements
Use your own vehicle, standard, performance, or race car.
- It is the responsibility of all drivers to ensure that their vehicle is in road worthy condition and that the vehicle will not pose a risk to anyone on track.
- Any open wheeler /similar or low laying car will need a flag attached to there vehicle.
- No Oil, fuel, or water drips/leaks
- All wheel nuts must be fitted and tightened
- Cars must be clear of ALL loose items
- Seats must be in good condition. With minimal to no movement in the adjustment mechanisms
- No tears, fraying or damage to the seat belt or harness webbing
- brakes operational
- Front and rear hazard working
- Head lights, parking lights and brake lights working.
- if battery box installed, Battery must be firmly clamped and in a sealed compartment or box if fitted a compartment with a fuel system (cable ties and ratchet straps are not acceptable mounting for the battery
- Fire extinguishers are not required however are recommended. If you do have an extinguisher, see below: Must be securely attached with nuts and bolts. NOT eck screws or cable ties. Must meet AS 1841 or AS1841.2. Must be held in place by a metal latch/bracket
- it is recommend Vehicles be fitted with a visible and accessible towing points or hooks (minimum inside diameter of 40mm) or the manufacturer supplied fitting is available in case of an incident.
- Street and Track Cars are both welcomed.
- Roll cages are not required but are permitted.
- All items inside the Car MUST be secured. This means no loose objects that can fling around when you are on track.

Noise Restrictions
Noise limit is 95 dB(A) measured at 30 m. (See our FAQ for further details)
How old do I have to be, and do I need a driver's licence?
- To be a Driver you must be at least 17 and you must also hold at a minimum your red P’s.
- If your Licence has been cancelled or suspended, that’s fine you just need to show proof that you have held red p’s or higher.
- You can drive with an international licence, just please remember on the day for check in you will need to show a Passport if you do not have an Australian Drivers Licence and or Australian Photo ID Card.
- To be in the Motorsport Park you must be at least 16 years old. No one under 16 is permitted in the Motorsport Park under any circumstances.
- ID is required to be shown by all who will be entering the Motorsport Park.
- Under no circumstances can you attend if you are under 16 (this includes toddlers and babies, if you cannot show ID as a 16 year old you are not permitted entry)as the Motorsport Park has live pits and it is not safe for under 16’s to attend.
- If you are under 18 (but over 16) and plan on attending and your parent will NOT be attending with you, then you MUST email for a Waiver or you will not be able to get inside. Your parent can email info@luddenhamraceway.com and request a Take Home Waive
Group organisation
Drivers will be divided into groups according to speed and/or experience. We like to keep the groups relatively small, which means more track time for you and less traffic.
Luddenham Raceway Requirements
- Drivers and passengers must wear non-flammable long sleeve pants and shirts.
- Fully enclosed footwear for drivers and passengers
- All Drivers must hold their Red P’s at a minimum.
- No one under 16 is allowed in the Motorsport Park at any time (We check ID).
- Helmets Must conform with Australian Standards
- Helmets must be worn by anyone inside a car and can be hired for $20 on the day.
- Passengers/ Spectators are $20pp, Second Drivers are $50pp (available on the day).
2nd driver requirements
- Second Drivers share the sessions of the first driver and are $50.
- Second Drivers pay on the day and must hold their red p’s at a minimum.
- A second driver will only be in the same sessions as the first driver as they are sharing the sessions and vehicle of the first driver.
- All Second Drivers are required to show sign in and present Valid ID, such as an Australian Drivers Licence, Australian Photo ID Card or Passport if you are an overseas resident.
Passengers/Spectators
- Passengers / Spectators are $20 and pay on the Day.
- Passengers / Spectators must be at least 16 and older.
- No one under 16 is permitted at the Motorsport Park.
- All Passengers / Spectators are required to show sign in and present ID that is VALID, only an Australian Drivers Licence, Australian Photo ID Card or Passport (if you are an overseas resident) will be accepted.
Fuel
Fuel is NOT available on site, the two nearest Service Stations are less than a 5 minute Drive from Luddenham Raceway and details are listed below:
- CALTEX: 19 The Northern Road, Luddenham NSW 2745
- SHELL: 2140 The Northern Road, Luddenham NSW 2745
If you plan on refueling on site you must only do so in the designated refueling bay and you CANNOT drive with fuel in your car on track.
Can I drift or do burnouts?
- Drifting / Burnouts / Dangerous Driving etc. are not tolerated at any time during a Track Day.
If you do engage in such activity, you will receive a lifetime ban and be escorted off the premises.
